Importing to Europe
If you are purchasing goods from brands on Go Wholesale that are based outside of your country, you will need to import those goods. Products imported into your country will be reviewed at customs upon entering your country and are subject to duties and taxes.
Please keep in mind that each country has different tax rates, so the duties and taxes may vary by country. The final cost of duties and taxes will be determined by customs upon import.
Below is some important information to keep in mind when importing goods.
Customs and Import Fees
Products purchased online and imported into Europe from international brands will be reviewed at Customs upon entering your country and may be subject to duties and taxes. You will be responsible for paying the duties and VAT to the carrier directly, upon import. We provide a duties & taxes estimate in your shopping cart using a trusted integration and will continue to build out this feature to perfect those estimated values!
Customs may contact you if additional information is required to clear your order at the border.
Importing Controlled Goods
When importing, you are required to comply with any import regulations as set out by your Government, including, but not limited to, regulations for controlled goods. Importing controlled goods into your country may require additional authorization or clearance. You can review common controlled goods requirements here.
EORI numbers
The “Economic Operators Registration and Identification” (EORI) number is a unique number used by businesses to identify themselves to customs authorities on customs declarations and other import documentation.
While an EORI number is not required to checkout on Go Wholesale, having an EORI number helps prevent potential delays and storage fees if your order is unable to be processed by customs in a timely fashion. You can enter your EORI number on your Account Settings page.
Brokerage
If you already have a broker of record to clear your import shipments at the border, please notify the brand directly via Go Wholesale messaging system to coordinate having those details included on the package prior to the order being fulfilled to avoid any unexpected brokerage fees!
If no broker is on file, the carrier will be expected to act as your broker.
Responsibility of the importer
Retailers on Go Wholesale are responsible for accepting all orders placed on the platform.
You are required to comply with any import regulations as set out by your Government. Including, but not limited to, regulations for controlled goods.
Go Wholesale is not responsible for any additional banking, taxes, customs, brokerage, carrier advancement, government fees or conversion fees applied post-purchase as a result of importing goods from the brands based outside of your country.
